Hi everyone!
Today I've got swatches of the new Summer 2013 PixieDust Collection for you! It's no secret that I love textured polish, so I was super excited when Zoya released a collection of six brightly coloured textured polishes. Check them out below!
The PixieDust polishes seem to take a little longer to dry on me than some of the other textured polishes I've tried. It's not a big problem, but I think it's worth mentioning. I waited about 20-25 minutes after swatching each of these before I took photos.
Beatrix is bright, sunny orange packed with lots of gold microglitter. If you're like me and you like orange and textured polish, you'll love this one. The formula was really good and I used three coats for my swatch.
Destiny is a bright red-orange with gold and orange microglitter. This one is very similar to OPI Jinx from the Bond Girls Collection, which just happened to be my favourite from the collection. The formula was great and I've shown three coats in my swatch.
Liberty is a bright, electric blue with blue microglitter. It'll come as no surprise that the blue polish is my favourite one. I did have a little staining after removing this though, so I would suggest doubling up on base coat. The formula was really good and I found three coats provided the best coverage.
Miranda is a medium rosy pink with silver and pink microglitter. Pretty, but I suppose if I'm bring critical, I do wish it was a little brighter. The formula was really good and I used three coats for my swatch.
Solange is a bright yellow-gold with lots of gold microglitter. I like this one a lot, but it's on the warm side so it doesn't go as well with my skin tone as I would like. It's gorgeous, though. Very blingy. The formula starts out sort of sheer but it builds up nicely with three coats.
Stevie is a light lilac with silver microglitter. This one is very pretty and feminine. It reminds me a lot of a few of the colours in the first set of PixieDusts, though. Much like Miranda, I do wish this one was also a little brighter. The formula was great and I've shown three coats below.
I love textured polish and I love bright colours, so it's no surprise that I'm a big fan of this collection. My favourites are Beatrix, Destiny and Liberty.
The Zoya PixieDust Collection is available from the Zoya website ($9 each) for US residents or from Nail Polish Canada ($9.75 each) for those of us in Canada.
