Swatch Spam - Nicole by OPI

Hi everyone!

I've been swatching quite a bit lately, so today I have another swatch spam post. This time it's for a selection of Nicole by OPI polishes. There's a couple from the Selena Gomez Collection, a couple from the Modern family Collection and a couple that are just new releases for Spring 2013.

Love Song is a medium lavender with very subtle shimmer. I actually didn't even know there was shimmer until I started applying it, but it's pretty much not noticeable at all once on. This one is from the Selena Gomez Collection, which is a pretty big collection consisting of 14 shades. The formula was good - a little patchy on the first coat but it evened out after the second. Pretty shade that's really nice for spring.

My Jay or the Highway! is a dirty greyed taupe creme from the Modern Family Collection (which is another large 14 piece collection). As you all know, I've been super into nude polishes lately. And although this isn't a true nude, it does sort of fall into the category. Either way, I love it. I can see it working its way into some nail art very soon. The formula was thin, so I needed three coats for full coverage.

Please Red-cycle is a vibrant cheery red creme. This is one of the new releases for Spring 2013. Honestly, it didn't look very exciting to me in the bottle, but it's actually a really gorgeous shade of red! The formula was excellent and it's almost a one-coater, although I used two just to be sure.

Pretty in Plum is a plum with vibrant purple shimmer from the Selena Gomez Collection. UM, HELLO GORGEOUS! My god, this is beautiful! To boot, the formula was excellent - a total dream to apply. My swatch shows two coats.

Stand By Your Manny is a light blue with silver and iridescent shimmer from the Modern Family Collection. Very pretty colour. The formula was sheer and patchy though, and I did need four coats to get the coverage you see below. However, even with four coats, this didn't feel too thick on my nails.

Still Into Pink is a hot Barbie pink with lots of silver/white shimmer. This one is another of the new shades released for Spring 2013 and I really like this one a lot! It's blue-based, so it works well with my skin tone, and the shimmer is just gorgeous. Oh and something interesting about this shade is that it dries completely matte, which was an unexpected surprise! I've shown it below with top coat, but you could totally wear it matte if you'd like. The formula was great and my swatch shows two coats.

Nicole by OPI polishes are available for $7.99 at select Walmart, Target, CVS, Rite Aid, Ulta, Kmart, Kroger, H-E-B, Duane Reade, and Meijer locations in the US. In Canada, they can be found at select Shopper’s Drug Mart/Pharmaprix, Walmart Canada, Jean Coutu, Loblaw, Lawton's Drug Mart and London Drug for $10.99 each.

Thanks for looking!
