A Few Dollish Polish Swatches

Good morning!

I'm in a bit of a rush today because I've got lots to do to plan for mine and David's engagement party next weekend. We actually thought for a while that it wasn't going to go ahead, so we halted the planning, and now that it is going ahead, I have a lot of catching up to do! I'm going to try to keep up with posting regularly until then, but I can see myself becoming a big stress ball and missing a few posts here and there. Imagine what it's going to be like when I'm planning the wedding! Oy.

Anyways, let's get on with today's post in the meantime. I just have a few random Dollish Polish swatches to share you. Let's get right to it!


Don't Wake Me Up consists of large pastel green hexagons, blue squares, small neon green & iridescent hexagons, and tiny silver glitters, all in a clear base. This one is my favourite of the four I'm showing you today. I chose to layer it over Zoya Neely, which I think is a great base for this. Although I also think it would look really nice over black or even a darker forest green shade. The formula was easy to work with and I needed just one coat to get the glitter coverage you see below.


Purple Rain is a pale periwinkle-tinged lavender jelly base with lots of purple glitters in varying sizes and shapes. I've shown it on its own at two coats, but it could also be layered. It's one of those polishes that's neither fully opaque nor it is too sheer, so you can use it either way depending on your preference. The formula was great and the glitters dispersed nicely.


Tetris is a clear base with consistently sized blue, red, green and yellow hexagonal glitters. I've shown it over a simple black creme, which I think really helps bring out the inspiration for this polish even more. I can't not think about the classic game when looking at this mani! I found the base to be a little thick and because of that, I found it difficult to get a good glitter coverage. I added a few drops of thinner and then everything went a lot more smoothly. My photo shows one coat of Tetris over the black base.


That's So Fetch is a mix of purple, pink, silver and iridescent multi-sized hexagons with silver stars, pink and red hearts. This obviously had to be layered over a pink, so I chose Zoya Lara. The glitter coverage was really good and all of them dispersed nicely, even the stars, which I was expecting to have to fish for. The hearts, however, I did have to fish for. This is super girly, but you could definitely tone down the girlyness a touch by layering it over a different base colour. The formula was thick, but not difficult.
