Review & Swatches - OPI Bond Girls Collection: Part I

Hi guys!

I've said from the very beginning that I'm really in love with the textured polish trend. On top of that, I'm a big James Bond fan. So how excited was I when I found out that OPI is releasing another Bond collection featuring their Liquid Sand polishes? The answer: VERY excited.

OPI was generous enough to send me a few of the shades to try out, but I'll be sure to purchase the rest myself when they're released. I typically don't like to split collections up into separate posts unless they're really large collections, but I wanted to show you these as soon as possible.

Jinx is a bright red-orange with lots of gold and orange microglitter. I knew from the start that this one would be my favourite from the entire collection, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The colour is just stunning. I actually think OPI should make a non-textured polish in this shade as well! The formula was excellent and my photo shows two coats.

Pussy Galore is a light baby pink with fuchsia shimmer throughout. This one is a bit different than the others because the base is sort of frosty instead of glittery. Because of the frostiness, I thought I would hate this one, but it dried a lot nicer than I expected. The texture sort of overwhelms the frostiness once it dries, so it really grew on me. The formula was great, but it started out a little sheer so I did need three coats for full coverage.

Tiffany Case is a medium icy blue with silver and blue glitter throughout. I really love this colour, especially with those silver glitters peeking through. The formula for this one was excellent and I've shown two coats below.

Overall, I think it goes without saying that I'm a huge fan on these polishes! I can't wait to get the other three to complete the collection.

The OPI Bond Girls Collection will be available beginning May 2013 at Professional Salons and Spas for $10.95 CAN ($9.00 US) suggested retail for each lacquer.
