Studded Sand - OPI Bond Girls Nail Art

Texture Week continues with another textured nail art look! This time it's using a couple of the OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand polishes. It's a simple look, but I think it definitely makes a statement.


I started with a base of OPI Honey Ryder and then using a striping brush, I added a fairly thick stripe down the middle of each nail using OPI Vesper. Vesper isn't completely opaque in one coat so I did have to go back and fill in the stripes a second time. I let both of those dry down for a few minutes and then I used a small dollop of Seche Vite to adhere a single square gold stud to each of my nails.


Of course, I wanted the full texture effect so I skipped top coat with this mani, which sadly compromised the integrity of the studs. Without top coat to seal them in, a few of them popped off throughout the day. If I were to do this or a similar mani again, I'd probably opt to use nail glue instead of top coat to anchor the studs down. Hopefully that would keep them down longer.
