Hello everyone!
I'm happy to be able to help Kayla out by providing a guest post. I feel like she's a friend and an inspirational fellow blogger. She's fairly transparent when it comes to what she likes as far as nail art.... Is it bright? Animal print? Neon? Colorful? Then she's going to love it!
I decided to go with a jewel toned peacock design. It's fairly easy to recreate and doesn't require freehanding skills, just a gradient sponging then stamping.
I started by painting my nails with 1 coat of Zoya Holly and let that dry. Then I took the flat side of a triangle makeup sponge and applied a swipe of Zoya Holly, Barielle A Bouquet for Ava, & Sinful Colors Let's Talk. While those are still damp on the sponge I dabbed my nails several times to apply/blend the gradient. Then I repeated the process for each nail. Once all of my nails had been sponged once, I repeated it a second time on each nail to deepen the colors.
Once that was dry I stamped the image from BM-212 with China Glaze 2030. Then I used a small dotting tool to apply the different glitter polishes randomly to the center dots. I used Zoya Aurora, China Glaze Dorothy Who?, & Orly Halley's Comet. Then I applied 1 coat of Seche Vite topcoat to seal and protect the design.
Thank you Kayla for featuring me as a guest blogger & I hope you all enjoy this design! Please check out my blog, Polish Art Addiction, if you're interested in seeing more of my nail art.
