Girly Bits - Canadian Eh? and Jelly Shoes

Surprisingly, my very first Girly Bits polish was the collaboration shade with Jini that I showed you a couple of days ago! I have no idea how I've gone this long without trying the brand before! Shame. But anyways, today I have two Girly Bits beauties to show you.

The first is Canadian Eh?, which is a clear base packed with matte white and shiny red glitters as well as iridescent blue shimmer. First of all, love the name. I am in fact Canadian so it's fun to see a little Canadian joke right there in the name. Second, love the polish as well.

I've shown it here over a mani of both OPI Innie Minnie Mightie Bow and China Glaze Liquid Leather. I like it a lot over both shades, but I definitely like it over the black more because those red glitters are really able to pop. Also I think the shimmer is the perfect addition to this. My mani shows just one coat over the base colours and the formula was easy to work with. I did a bit of dabbing with the brush to get the glitters to sit where I wanted them to.

I'll definitely be sporting this on Canada Day!

Jelly Shoes is a sheer hot barbie pink jelly packed with lots of blue and pink iridescent sparkles. It's no secret that I love bright polishes, and I especially like blue-based pinks for my cool skin tone, so this is right up my alley. It's really gorgeous.

I've shown Jelly Shoes over a coat of China Glaze Hang-ten Toes, which I think is a great underwear for this shade. The base colours are very similar, so the base polish just allows Jelly Shoes to have a more opaque finish. However you can also build this up on its own and have a more jelly squishy look. The formula was excellent and I used two coats, but only because I wanted more sparkle, otherwise one would have done just fine.

Overall I have great first impressions from this brand. I'll definitely need to add some Girly Bits polishes to my wishlist.

Girly Bits polishes are available from the Girly Bits website as well as many other international distributors. Prices range from $10 - $12.50 CAD. Both of the shades above shades are $10 each.
